The course curriculum provides an intensive introduction to epidemiology, research methods and data analysis.
In order to maintain an interactive seminar format, the number of participants is limited to 28 per course. Because the number of applications exceeds the number of available slots, participants will be chosen by random number table.
The Exxcellence Foundation has obtained additional funding, and tuition is $2,300 per attendee. Participants (or their Departments) will be responsible for tuition, air and ground transportation, and lodging costs. Lodging is single occupancy only and is estimated to be approximately $1,500.
PLEASE NOTE: No family members, children, significant others, friends or pets allowed, unless they are also registered for that course - no exceptions! If you anticipate that clinical duties, attendance at a medical meeting, family obligations, pregnancy complications, child/infant care concerns, or being away from your family and/or children will conflict with a specific course, please do not apply for those course dates. Instead, please identify another course when you can devote your full attention to it. Further, once we reserve your place, it can be very difficult to fill any cancellations. When you are formally accepted for a course, The Foundation becomes obligated to the hotel for your room reservation. Tuition will only be refunded in case of a verifiable emergency, and will be subject to a cancellation charge. Seats in our courses are limited. In fairness to the many who apply, please keep this in mind when registering.
Pregnant participants and nursing mothers are always welcome; a private office near the classroom is available for mothers to pump breast milk. This arrangement has worked well for many mothers over the years.
