The Foundation for Exxcellence in Women’s Health Referenced in The Green Journal

The Foundation for Exxcellence in Women's Health has been referenced in the October 2015 issue of Obstetrics and Gynecology – the official publication of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, popularly known as "The Green Journal."

The citation appears in an article titled "Effect of the Exxcellence in Clinical Research Course on Research Productivity and Quality Amongst Program Completers," by Drs. Ramez Eskander and Kathryn Osann. The objective of the article was to "evaluate the self-reported effect of the Exxcellence in Clinical Research Course on academic productivity amongst course completers." The study earned Dr. Eskander the 2015 APGO Exxcellence Award, which was accompanied by a $500 cash award.

Dr. Eskander’s conclusion that "individuals who attended and completed the Exxcellence course reported a positive effect on academic productivity" is consistent with feedback The Foundation has received about the Exxcellence in Clinical Research Course, which is now in its 8th year and has been attended by more than 850 Ob/Gyn Fellows and Ob/Gyn Junior Faculty members across the country. The six-day course is the same highly renowned course in research methods and evidence-based medicine taught since 1987 by the expert and engaging team of Drs. David Grimes and Kenneth Schulz.
