Jennifer L. Doyle, MSN, WHNP-BC, elected to the Board of Directors of The Foundation for Exxcellence in Women's Health

 

Jennifer Doyle, MSN, WHNP-BC, has been elected to the Board of Directors of The Foundation for Exxcellence in Women’s Health.  Mrs. Doyle is the Advance Practice Nurse (APN) for the Women’s Service Line at Summa Health in Akron, Ohio.  She is a registered nurse with over 20 years experience specializing in intrapartum care and safety.  Mrs. Doyle is committed to multidisciplinary collaboration in order to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes.   Her education includes a BSN from Kent State University and MSN from University of Louisville.  

Mrs. Doyle is a nursing leader who actively participates in several state of Ohio committees, including:  Pregnancy Associated Related Mortality Review Committee, Ohio Perinatal Quality Collaborative Executive Planning Committee, and the Ohio ‘Safe Outcomes for Obstetric and Neonatal Steering Committee’.  In 2015, she was appointed by Governor Kasich to the state of Ohio’s Maternal-Newborn Advisory Council.

Nationally, Mrs. Doyle is active as a volunteer leader within the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).   She served as the elected AWHONN Ohio Section leader for eight years.  Currently she is a senior member of AWHONN’s National Executive Board of Directors.  She remains heavily involved in clinical care and projects and is a recipient of two national AWHONN Awards:  1) Celeste Phillips Research Award (2015) and 2) Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing (JOGNN) Article of the year (2012).
