Foundation for Exxcellence in Women's Health Elects Three New Members to Board of Directors
The Foundation for Exxcellence in Women’s Health announced today the election of three new members to its Board of Directors. At its Annual Meeting, held, June 6 – 7, 2016, Maureen G. Phipps, MD, MPH, Jennifer L. Doyle RN, MSN, WHNP, and Shelly Zalis were elected to three-year terms on the Board. “Each of the three new Directors bring a broad background and a unique skill set from which The Foundation will benefit in the coming years. We’re honored to have each of them on the Board, and look forward to their contributions to this great organization”, said Jeff Nations, Chief Administrative Officer for The Foundation.
The newly elected officers will replace several retiring Board members. Dr. Norman Gant and Dr. Philip DiSaia retire after serving the Foundation since its inception in 2006. Dr. Michael Mennuti and Dr. Gerald Nahum retire following service to the Board since 2010 and 2011, respectively. Foundation President Dr. Vivian E. von Gruenigen said “We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to these distinguished gentlemen for their many years of service to the Foundation. Dr. Gant and Dr. DiSaia were instrumental in not only the founding of this great cause, but also for the excellent vision and leadership over the years that guided us to where we are today.
